The Team Serbisyo Una of Davao del Norte congressman-elect Antonio “Tonyboy” Floirendo Jr. celebrated its victory in the May 9 polls after almost all of its members won in the local electoral race.
In a victory party held at the RDR Gym in Tagum City Saturday, May 14, Floirendo thanked all of their members and supporters who made their victory possible.
Floirendo said their local political party Kusog Baryohanon, in tandem with the 1st district’s Team Best, have delivered more than 90% of votes not just for their party-members but to the presidential bid of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as well.
Floirendo said their battlecry “Serbisyo Una” is exactly what they hope to achieve in the next three years of their public service. He also vowed to support the administration of Duterte whom he publicly endorsed.
Of the Davao del Norte politicians, only Floirendo made a public endorsement on Duterte while others opted to remain loyal to their national political parties but secretly endorsing Duterte’s bid on the side.
Victorious Serbisyo Una Team members are Governor-elect Anthony del Rosario and Vice Governor-elect Alan Dujali, 1st District congressman-elect Pantaleon Alvarez, and 2nd district congressman-elect Tonyboy Floirendo. Majority of the elected mayors, provincial board members and councilors are also part of the Floirendo team who is now considered as the “kingpin of Davao del Norte”.
President-elect Duterte had also earlier declared that he wanted Alvarez to become the House Speaker under his administration.
Outgoing Governor Rodolfo del Rosario meanwhile expressed optimism in the incoming Duterte administration. He said that Duterte is on the right track in prioritizing peace and security over trade and commerce since he had already proven in Davao City that for business to thrive, there must be stable peace and order and a corrupt-free government.
